This Gibson EH-150 Lap Steel Electric Guitar has to be the cleanest example we've ever had! If you are looking for an very nice EH-150, then look no further. It was handcrafted in Kalamazoo, Michigan, and features a sunburst lacquer finish, maple body and neck, rosewood fingerboard, and the original tweed hard shell case.

The playability of this later Gibson EH-150 is greatly improved due to both its tone and volume controls being on the treble side and out of the way of the player’s palm.

Pickups of this era are widely regarded as being among the finest sounding lap steel guitars in Gibson history, in addition to being one of the first successful electric instruments. This EH-150 is fitted with a second generation blade pickup with a U-shaped magnet in place of the long bar "Charlie Christian" type magnets of earlier models. This allowed Gibson to make the body much sturdier, doing away with the screwed-on back body plate of the original 1936 design and fixing the previous problem with rim separations at the heel block.

Overall length: 32 in. (81.3 cm.)

This steel is in remarkable shape, shows only the most minimal signs of use, and remains original. The pickup is very strong and it is a wonderful sounding instrument. The sunburst lacquer has a deep, rich color. It has a few light lacquer check lines and a couple minor bumps on the headstock. It's clearly a closet classic that has been used but not seen very much playtime. They don't show up in this lovely condition often. Its original case is in the same great shape. Only one...
