Approval, Return, and Refund Policies
Approvals and Returns
We have an industry standard 2 day return policy on musical instruments. This means you have 48 hours after your musical instrument is confirmed as being delivered by shipping carriers to request a return.
If you decide not to keep an instrument please notify us as soon as possible. To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging where applicable.
Accepted return requests must be carefully packed and shipped back to AntiquiTone by the next business day after being accepted for return. Your authorized return must be sent back in the shipping carton used to send it to you, insured for its full value, and returned using the same method and speed as it was shipped to you (example: overnight, 2 day, 3 day or ground).
The buyer is responsible for all shipping costs. If the cost of shipping was covered by AntiquiTone as a part of a sale agreement, the actual shipping cost both ways remains the buyer's responsibility in the case of a return and will be deducted from its refunded price.
If the item is not returned in the same condition as when it was sent, media(photo and video) and repair fees may be assessed and deducted from its refunded price at AntiquiTone’s discretion.
Make sure to check the condition grade on each individual listing as some items may be sold “As-Is” and are not eligible for a return.
Returns Involving Trades
It is the buyer's responsibility to cover all costs associated with shipping trade-ins. This includes return shipping charges when a transaction involving trades is reversed under the 48 hour Approvals and Returns policy as stated above. The cost of returning a trade-in will be deducted from any refunds issued by AntiquiTone.
Instruments sold in "As-Is" condition
Occasionally we will offer instruments in "As-Is" condition without our standard 2 day approval policy. The reason for this will be stated clearly in the item's description. An item sold As-Is cannot be returned unless it arrives in a condition different from how it was described. Please see the AntiquiTone Condition / Grading System for more info.
Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned. This includes musical instruments labeled at the bottom of their listing as being offered in “As-Is” condition, made to order items such as clothing, cups, stickers, and all items in the merchandise category. Please see sizing and item specifics on their individual listing pages. Please contact us if you have questions or concerns about your specific item. We cannot accept returns on gift cards.
European Union 14 day cooling off period
Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase. You will be responsible for all shipping charges, fees, etc associated with the return.
Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded via your original payment method within 10 business days less any outstanding shipping or repair costs incurred. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund.

If your return is accepted we will provide you with a return shipping address. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.
