This spectacular Style 2 National ukulele was made in California just as the depression was really kicking in. It is an extreme rarity! The combination of this version of the National Style 2 "Wild Rose" engraving pattern and white maple headstock face has only been discovered on one other example. Its German silver body has a depth and tone that make it perfect for both finger style and rhythm. It was clearly stored for many years in its original hard case, as it remains in remarkable condition.

The lovely white maple headstock still sports its fully intact fragile National logo decal. The neck finish is in lovely shape. It has well-functioning celluloid button friction tuners that work perfectly and hold tune well. The ebony fingerboard has a small pearl dot inlay and a bone nut. And its gleaming body sports the prettiest version of the Style 2 "Wild Rose" engraving pattern National has ever used, in our opinion. There are not many things in this world with a higher "cool quotient" than an original National ukulele, and this one is in remarkable condition and sounds great.
