Made in Kalamazoo, Michigan, the Gibson Uke-3 Model Soprano Ukulele dates to around 1928. It features a natural mahogany finish, a mahogany body and neck, a rosewood fingerboard.

This is an excellent specimen of a 1920s Gibson "Uke-3," the brand's top-of-the-line cataloged soprano ukulele. Besides the ultra rare custom order only hand painted "Poinsettia" ukuleles, the Uke-3 was Gibson's most opulent and expensive soprano ukulele and are not often seen today.

Overall length: 20 3/8 in. (51.8 cm.)
Lower Bout: 6 3/8 in. (16.2 cm.)
Depth at End Block: 2 1/4 in. (5.7 cm.)
Scale length 13 3/4 in. (349 mm.)
Nut Width: 1 7/16 in. (36 mm.)

It has some very minor age-appropriate wear here and there but is overall very well preserved. The only condition item of note is some light roughing of the finish on its back. From the audience's perspective, this is an excellent-looking ukulele! It plays in tune well and projects. A new hard case is included.
