Rickenbacker Bakelite B series "Panda" steels were the professional standard of their day. They are still generally considered by many players the finest-sounding lap steel ever made. Pros such as Sol Hoopii, David Lindley, Jerry Byrd, and Megan Lovell of Larkin Poe have helped give these Bakelite Rickenbacker B series steels their iconic reputation!

Prewar seven string Rickenbacker steel guitars are quite rare and very desirable. Some claim these early 40s celluloid plate era Rics are the best sounding! Overall, this B-7 seven string is in wonderful shape and sounds GREAT. It sports the highly desirable 1.5" large prewar style patented pickup and original “Rickenbacher” headstock logo.

The white celluloid plates of this era are sometimes prone to cracks and chipping. This example shows some minor shrinkage, one screw hole chip, and a very minor control plate crack, but still displays well.

The pots are Stackpoll 250s and work really well with just a hint of crackle on the lowest side of the volume pot. The tuners have newer buttons and function well. It's an amazing sounding and gig ready steel. Original wide seven string case included!

Very Good Plus (VG+)
